Last week Jeramie and I ventured to Orlando, FL to catch a little R&R before wedding season picks up in April and boy was it a blast! It was also served as the perfect spot to celebrate Jeramie's birthday as he turned the big 2-6! *fun fact, we celebrated his 24th birthday in Disney too which makes it a little fun tradition we now have going on to celebrate all even numbered birthdays in the same spot!
If you have read my 'About Me' page here on the site, then you have a pretty good idea that Jeramie and I share a love for all things Disney. From movies to the soundtracks to the parks, we just love it all! Some people may find that a little odd but to us it just means that we are big kids at heart!
Due to our schedules, we were only able to squeeze a mini trip out of Disney this time so you better believe that we made the most out of our three days down in Orlando! We hit up the newly renovated downtown area first, now proudly called Disney Springs, and we loved being able to walk into all the new shops, try some new restaurants, and even stroll over to the Boardwalk because what photographer in the south can turn down brightly colored walls!?
The next day was spent in Epcot (Jer's BDAY YAYA!) and was by far our favorite day seeing as we arrived just in time to enjoy the start of the Flower + Garden Festival, which is where Epcot displays the most magical and coolest character displays that are made of, you guessed it, flowers and hedges! The World Showcase also opens it doors to more food and drink options and there wasnt a time that day that we werent enjoying one or the other! Not to mention that we got to enjoy some of the best rides that Epcot has to offer like Test Track and Spaceship Earth where it was fun to see all the innovative ways that Disney helps make the Earth a little bit better in terms of energy conservation, plant harvesting, and inventions.
We spent our very last day in Magic Kingdom and it was beyond perfect being able to ride our favorite rides such a Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Peter Pan. We even stayed around that night to catch Wishes, the fireworks show, and Celebrate the Magic!
We definitely came back with full hearts and tired feet at the end of the trip, but we wouldnt have wanted it to end any other way!
Traveling holds a big place in our hearts and is definitely something that we are striving to do more of! We currently have things in the works to open Jeramie's work schedule up A LOT more, are curating ways to pay off debt, and have plans to do more with less in terms of things and living space. All in the hopes to be able to travel and see more!
Until next time friends :)
