After a couple of weeks away, it feels good to be back blogging weddings and this one just steals my heart in every way! This was my second to last wedding of 2016 and it was flat out gorgeous!
Liz + Kurt, along with their family and friends, traveled all the way from Pennsylvania and beyond to not only celebrate the holidays in the Lowcountry but to also give 2016 one more chance to shine as these two planned to tie the knot shortly after Christmas and days before New Years!
The whole soiree took place at OldField River Club and this place is what southern girls dreams are made out of it! The plantation is housed by gorgeous spanish moss, cottages, marsh views, and any other delight you can think of.
While we were blessed with 75 degree weather in December, we were also challenged with a little bit of rain but it quickly gave way right in time for the ceremony!
Besides that little hiccup, every single detail was flawless! Weeks later, I still cannot decide if the personalized coffee bar from Corner Perk, the roses that Liz + Kurt presented to their parents as a thank you during the ceremony, the sermon delivered by the officiant, or the best man toast was my favorite part of the day!
The night ended with guests taking a turn at the DIY Photo Booth and the beautiful couple taking three trips through the sparklers during the exit because that my friends is the benefit of doing a fake/mock exit--you get to play until the very end!
And to that my friends, enjoy some of my favorite weddings images of 2016 and in the meantime, Ill be counting down the days until I can get back to this beautiful venue!
