Wow it has been two weeks of non-stop blogging over here and for those that have tuned in every single day, I cannot thank you for sticking around and for not thinking I am crazy haha but before we close the door on this marathon of gorgeous wedding and engagement reveals, I have one more to show off and that is Jess + Shane's coastal wedding that took place on Daufuskie's Island a few weeks back!
For starters this island is amazing and the most remote place I have ever been to! Only accessible by boat, this island is home to only a few hundred people that live there full time and the only way you can get around is by golf cart. So for me, the wedding day started off with a boat ride over to the island before I even began coverage and I was aye okay with that!
Once there, the day kicked off in the most relaxed way with getting ready details and portraits that took place just steps outside the cottages that the whole wedding party had rented out for the week. Included in these portraits was the couple's dog, Dexter, and boy was he not the absolutely cutest and posed whenever he got the chance. He even made a habitat of making Jess's dress a dog bed whenever she would stand still for longer than 5 seconds. It stole my heart every time!
After portraits, we were carted over to the church which was just as historic and southern as it sounds and the couple eagerly exchanged vows! They even had guests throw bird seed at them as they exited the church and I will forever be a fan of these types of exits.
From there we rounded out portraits at Bloody Point's public beaches and with not another single soul in sight, we were able to take advantage of some of the most stunning beach portraits that have ever graced these pages! We were even lucky enough to find a piece of driftwood and these two nailed every single shot in front of it.
The night ended with dinner, an ice cream bar, and dancing that kept the party going well after dark! Below are some of my favorites of Jess's and Shane's day so I hope you enjoy! Cheers to the new Mr. + Mrs. Smith :)
