my heart just cannot stop gushing over Emily and her gorgeous, timeless bridal portraits that were taken at the Thomas Bennett House in Charleston truly filled with southern charm, endless elegance, and a hairpiece ever girl dreams about wearing on her big day.
Ohh bridal portraits! They are truly stealing my heart lately as I love the chance to be able to work with a bride one on one, to slow down to see the details, and really give them the time and attention that they deserve to showcase them as a bride!
So when Paige reached out to me saying that she wanted to get some portraits done in Downtown Charleston, you know that I was more than game!
We found a nice, quiet street to start our time on and before we knew it, we were hopping around from cute house to cute house. The best part was that while we were posing on one of the street's many corners, one of the owners of those amazing historic homes pulled into his driveway and asked if we wanted to come in and use his private gardens for portraits! WHATTT!? We all about died and had to ask ourselves if this was real life but we quickly pulled ourselves together and took him up on his offer!
The gardens were amazing in every which way and gave us this amazing worldly, intimate feel to the session that I will be forever grateful for!
Paige and her main man tied the knot this past weekend and while I wasn't the one to capture their big day, it sure was an honor to be able to capture Paige during this special time.
Bridal Portraits are easily becoming some of my favorite sessions to capture so if you know any gals looking to frolic around the lowcountry in their wedding gowns before their big days, send them my way! But until then, enjoy some of my favorites from my time with Paige in Downtown Charleston!
THIS. WEDDING. yall! I have been eager to share these photos ever since we got home from Hannah + Wes's wedding day in Charleston and now that the time has come, you better believe that a huge smile is on my face as I hit that big PUBLISH button!
Hannah + Wes were blessed with a wedding day that was sunny and 75 and in Charleston, that is pretty much the secret sauce into making an already beautiful place, beautiful!
The day started off with the us photographing the girls getting ready at a quaint little inn in Mount Pleasant called the Old Village Post. This place was beyond cute, had some of the best indoor light, and was located in the middle of a small town so cute, southern homes were pretty much at our disposal when it came to portrait time!
The ceremony then took place at Hampton Park under a huge oak tree and all I still have to say is WOW! There is just something about an oak tree and spanish moss that is so romantic and it was such a fitting site for this intimate wedding.
The best parts of the ceremony had to have been when Wes's saw Hannah for the first time--It instantly brought tears to everyone's eyes---and the smiles on their faces when these two came back down the aisle after tying the knot because it was just the look of pure happiness.
Afterwards everyone headed downtown for dinner/drinks at Upstairs at Rue and it was the perfect ending to a perfect day!
To Hannah and Wes, thank you so much for treating us like members of your families. We were truly honored to be a part of your big day and cannot thank you enough for the memories! Now cheers to forever you two and we wish nothing but the best for the new Mr. + Mrs. Cummings :)
