Where are you located and do you travel?

I am currently located in Bluffton, South Carolina ( 30 minutes from Savannah, GA), but having relocated from Atlanta, GA, I find myself shooting all throughout Georgia + South Carolina regularly. Not to mention, I am a bit of a travel bug so I am always willing to travel any sort of distance to capture portrait sessions and weddings! I have big dreams of traveling all over the US and beyond--California, Colorado, Tennessee, Maine, and the Caribbean are all on my bucket list of places to shoot just FYI!

Can brides customize one of your wedding packages or are packages & what's included set in stone?

Great question! I always give my brides the option to customize any of my wedding packages! Having been a bride myself, I completely understand that not every bride and not every wedding are the same so I would love to tailor any of my packages to fit your unique wants and needs if need be.

How long does take to get my photos back and how are they delivered?

Portrait Sessions: Turn around time is 7-10 days from the date of your session and edited images will be delivered through an online gallery link where you will be able to download images, upload them to any social media site, and share that link with family and friends.

Weddings: Turn around time is usually 6 weeks from your wedding date and edited images will be delivered through an online gallery link where you will be able to download images, upload them to any social media site, and share that link with family and friends. A USB will also be mailed out to you so that you have a "hard copy" of your images for safe keeping.

Can we get every single photo back from our session, even if they are unedited?

The answer to this is a polite no. JB Marie Photography puts a lot of love and effort into creating your final images and galleries and it is our job to delete all the out-of-focus, eyes closed, "let me get that piece of hair out of my mouth" photos that take away from the over all presentation and look of your session. In doing this, your final images will be displayed with our signature look and feel that you have come to know and love through viewing our little corner of the web and social media sites!

We love your work! How do we book you!!??

Portrait Sessions: A 50% deposit of your session fee and a signed contract is all that is needed to book your session with me! From there, the rest will be due 1 week before your session date. That way we don't have to fuss with any of the nitty gritty on the day of your session and more time can be spent capturing your precious moments.

Weddings: A 25% deposit of your package total and a signed wedding contract is all that is needed to book your wedding with me! No wedding date is secure until those two items are received. From there, the remaining balance is due 2 weeks before your wedding date. That way we don't have to fuss with any of the nitty gritty on the day of your wedding, leaving more time for me to capture your once-in-a-lifetime moments.

Whats's a First Look and should we do one?

In simple terms, it is a trend that is easily replacing the good ole tradition of the bride and groom waiting to see each other until the ceremony. With a First Look, Bride and Groom get the chance to see each other for the first time pre-ceremony in an intimate, beautiful setting that allows for these first few moments together to be truly private. Not to mention it allows time for more required family photos and full bridal party portraits to be taken before you walk down the aisle which will in turn allow YOU to get to YOUR party faster after the ceremony! And who doesn't love that!

My venue requires all vendors to have liability insurance. Do you have that?

Yes! JB Marie Photography is a fully licensed business with liability insurance to appease any venue requirements. Most venues will address this with you at some point during the planning process if it is something that they require, so no worries!

What do I wear to an engagement/portrait session?

I find that neutral colors tend to photograph best and compliment my style of photography effortlessly. I highly recommend avoiding clothing that has logos, wording, crazy patterns, or distracting colors because these will draw attention away from what is important in the photo, YOU! When is the best time to start the booking process for wedding photography?

Once you have set a date and booked a ceremony/reception space, feel free to contact me so that we can begin the process.

Why invest in wedding photography?

After all the food has been eaten, the flowers have wilted, and the wedding dress has been put away, your wedding photographs are all you will have to remember one of the most important days of your life. These special moments will only happen once and having photographs to look back on will help you relive your wedding day time and time again!
